Paper portfolios are the thing of the past, electronic portfolios are the NOW.
I am a graphic designer that has created a few web sites for career and education purposes. Currently I am pursuing my masters in education with the concentration in Instructional Technology. One of my goals is to create a student mentor program concentrating on the education and creation of student electronic portfolios using either xFolio or the San Francisco State Template. The program will be divided into two sections: ePortfolio Theory and ePortfolio Technology. The goal of this program is to train students to become mentors to students in the different colleges on the SF State University.
Professionally I work for Academic Technology at San Francisco State University. Part of my responsibilities is to create marketing materials and web site design and consultation. The other half of my job is creating instructional materials and training students on ePortfolios. I have been a project leader on several projects.
